Draco Malfoy is not one of my favorite characters in the story. Just to warm you up here's some information about him. He's a Slytherin student and his best friends are Crabbe and Goyle. Why would somebody hate him though?
He is mean and jealous and always tries to make fun of people and he manipulates them psychologically just because he doesn't feel good about himself. He never cheers when another team triumphs except Slytherin and he is bitter as it can possibly get. He is jealous of Harry because he is the Chosen One and all the attention is drawn to Harry and not to him.He is very spoiled too. When people have a hard time or something bad happens to them, he is cheerful and enjoys it by laughing at their pain. When he knows he's wrong, he never EVER admits it and tries to get on people's nerves and tries to make their lives miserable. He always says "my father will hear about this" which shows that he doesn't face his own problems himself and relies on others to solve his problems. He pretends he's tough and he's a bully but when he has to face danger he runs away like a chicken. He mocks students if they're poor- for example Ron Weasley because he comes from a poor family- and brags about the things he has- his Nimbus 2000.
In my opinion these people shouldn't even be called humans! These are more than enough reasons to make someone dislike him. After all i can't think of anything good he has done for people all these years. As C.S. Lewis said:"Badness is only spoiled goodness" and i think it fits perfectly for Draco.
